How do you change the rear brake pads on a 1998 Lincoln Town Car?

Rear disk? if it is you will need to collapse the caliper. You will need to go to the parts store, buy a collapsing tool, not really sure what they call it, but just explain what you need to do. Now that you have the tool, you are ready to go, you will use the tool to turn in the piston in the caliper. now you can put new pads in (you did turn the rotors, right?) put the wheels on and drive, Note do pump up the brakes before you put it in gear! Good luck Dave

Note, Tbone is trying hard but you can not - use a C-Clamp to compress the piston! you will just cuss a lot and throw things. need the tool. How do you change the rear brake pads on a 1998 Lincoln Town Car?u can ask a mechanic about thatHow do you change the rear brake pads on a 1998 Lincoln Town Car?Take it to the shop and ask them to do it for you.How do you change the rear brake pads on a 1998 Lincoln Town Car?www.autozone.com
