Find out what it is and have an honest mechanic measure them with a micrometer. If your brakes aren't squeaking, grinding, pulsating, or leaking their probably okay. $950 is to much for a simple brake job in my opinion.Whether its time to change my brake pads, rotors, calipers for a chevy malibu 2000 with 94k miles on it?Drive the car til you hear the brake pads startin to squeal then take the car to a reputable mechanic and have the repairs done there. Looks like you already have a reliable mechanic. Good luck !Whether its time to change my brake pads, rotors, calipers for a chevy malibu 2000 with 94k miles on it?get a book a few simple handtools and do it yourself your getting scammedWhether its time to change my brake pads, rotors, calipers for a chevy malibu 2000 with 94k miles on it?well rarely do calipers go bad. if they do its usually the way you brake wether you brake really hard alot tht can take its toll especially where the brake lines are connected to them. but unless u hav let it sit around or ur a new owner and the previous tore it up b4 you bought it tht you wont need them. rotors they hav a tendency to go bad but once again tht jus tdepends on the way you drive the car. i doubt you need rotors unless your brake pads hav an uneven wear pattern then it is prolly needed. for now stick wit the brake pads and unless you commute or go on long trips a lot more than about 20 or 30 miles dont worry bout gettin all tht done. it jus sounds lik they are trying to get your money... i drive like a nascar driver almost all the time and i drive big vehicles lik i hav a truck and a van so i kno tht braking systems can take a beating and a car lik tht wont hav any problems...
