When do you first have to change the brake pads on a 2007 Lexus ES350. Was it the front or rear brakes?

Brakes pads are not changed at a particular mileage, but by how much they have worn. If you drive rough and mostly stop-n-go local, you'd be lucky to last 20K, but if you drive mostly highway with no braking, you could go 90k without changing them. If and until you feel or hear any noise in your brakes, you won't need to worry about them. The mechanic will visually inspect them when you bring in your car for say oil change or other maintenance where they raise your car.



As for front or back, normally the fronts go first as they are taking the load of the braking, which is why most vehicles the front pads are bigger than the rears.When do you first have to change the brake pads on a 2007 Lexus ES350. I know a teen girl that goes through front brakes every 10 weeks ... it is very scary to drive with her .... you never know if you will get to your destination alive ... or not ... !



On the other hand ... it took me 7 years to wear mine out. I am serious ... so just do a visual inspection .... it should be free with an oil change ...



Please remember to always keep up with all your fluid changes ... I do engine oil every 3,000 regardless ..... and I always make sure the oil level is correct no matter what.



Please make sure to do your Transmission service at about 30,000 miles ..... very important ...... even if they tell you it is ok to do it at 50,000 ..... ughhhhh ... nooooooooooo ..... 30,000 miles is a very safe point to do it .... you could go longer, yes ... but again, it is based on how you drive ......
