How often do i have to change the brake pads for 2008 highlander?

I am thinking about purchasing the 2008 Toyota Highlander 2wd with 30500 miles on it.

I am wondering how soon i should expect to change the brake pads. Also tires etc..

it is the private party purchase with 60000 miles factory warranty. How often do i have to change the brake pads for 2008 highlander?40,000 miles is average. But I've seen vehicles go as long at 70, depending on the driver. Tires, if they've been rotated on schedule should last about 50,000. Expect to do a brake job within the next year. How often do i have to change the brake pads for 2008 highlander?I believe this vehicle has similar brakes to the tacomma 4 runner and they were a bit fast on wear 30,000 miles would be good. alignment and ballance are criticle to long tire wear as is correct tire preasure. the car may have a different air preasure recomendation in the manual than does the tire as different manufacturers set different recomendations. go by the tire! if it says 40 max cold this means in the morning before driving this tire should be no higher than 40 lbs preasure. this is a max number expecting as heavy a load to be on the tires as they are designed to hold up. most cars and trucks are fine with 3 to 5 lbs less under normal conditions.
