the front pads are easy
1)remove the tire
2) use a jeep technical service manual as reference
3) loosen the bolts holding the caliper in place
4) after removing the caliper compress the piston back into the caliper by using a large(4%26quot;)%26quot;C%26quot; clamp with the old pad as
a flat surface
5) use a good brake pad( carbon mettalic won't fade)
6) spread brake quiet on the back of the pads mating to the calipers to keep things quiet. re-install in reverse order.
have a person press on the brakes after re-installation
prior the tire reinstal to reseat the calipers
then repeat for the other side. How do i change brake pads on a 96 jeep cherokee?bring it in to the auto repair shop?
that's what i'd do... lol.
sorry, i'm not much help.
