My 02 ex-cabbie is thrashed and so are the brakes, compared to my parents cars my brakes are horrible and i feel crunching under the pedal going down a driveways or steep decents at very low speeds

A hand impact tool will help with the screws that hold the rotors, if applicable. You should also have a torque wrench. A c clamp can push the piston back in the caliper. Follow the instructions as far as using brake grease if you want them to be quiet. Clean the new rotors with brake cleaner before installing. Remember to hang the caliper with a piece of wire, don't just let it dangle.
