How do you change Brake Pads on a 97 1.4 petrol VW Golf??

if you are asking this on here, i would take it to a mechanic my friend as its obvious you dont know a whole lot about braking systems.How do you change Brake Pads on a 97 1.4 petrol VW Golf??if you don't know anything about changing brakes i will suggest you take it to your mechanic or have an expert friends do it for you. or go to youtube.com and type in what you need to do may be someone already made a video on your question. good luck.How do you change Brake Pads on a 97 1.4 petrol VW Golf??The procedure is similar to those shown here:

The brake calipers need to be removed by slackening and removing the 2 allen key bolts that hold them on.(Usually inside a rubber tube to keep the brake dust off them)Gently rock the caliper from side to side to get the hydraulic piston back a bit,then pull off.Remove old brake pads and put piston back as far as it will go into brake caliper( You may need to temperarily rebolt it onto do this?)Fit new pads,fit caliper ,tighten bolts,pump up brake pedal till it goes hard,then repeat for the other side.
