Any special Tools i might need?

Or any specific way to do things?

I've done brake jobs before, but im unfamiliar with the saturn.

Thanks, JimNeed to help a friend change Brake pads on 2004 Saturn Ion...?you should have disc brakes you take the tire off and you should have two hex head bolts on the caliber take them out and take the calb off the pads should come right out take a c clamp big one close the piston on the calb put the new ones on and put back togetherNeed to help a friend change Brake pads on 2004 Saturn Ion...?pls feel free to not take my advise. but the newer model saturns. and i don't exactly what yrs started it. but the piston in the caliper does not push in by a c clapm. it uses a tool to screw it in. snapon is the only place u can get it, but as i do it is take a pair of long needle noses and do it your self. unless thye have worn out the brakes to metal and got them hot. they should go in pretty easily. if not take a little propane torch heat it uo and it will unfreeze. make sure u do not use a clamp very hard or u will shatter the housing if it is the screw in type. just look before u do it.Need to help a friend change Brake pads on 2004 Saturn Ion...?Hi JIM !

If you have done brakes before then this will be a breeze for you. There is no special tool needed for this application.

It is so easy a caveman could do it!

But in your case I'll make an exception. GM calipers require a special sized hex key, double check to see if you will need one, you can pick them up at autozone or murrays
